We have released the second beta for 0.7.0 containing many bug fixes and a few small features.

The binaries can be found at http://www.openttd.org/download-testing/0.7.0-beta2 and the changelog can be seen at http://binaries.openttd.org/releases/0. ... ngelog.txt.

Happy testing!

Is it just me or can others not access openttd.org at the moment?

[Edit] nevermind, scrap what I said!

Very nice :-)

Is there any chance of cargodest making it into 0.7, or is it likely going to end up an 0.8 feature?

And out of interest, what will be the eventual difference between 0.x and 1.x releases? Is there anything defined, or are we likely to just see 0.x versions for the forseeable future?

No chance at all. The current branch is very outdated and none of the current developers wants to invest the time needed to bring it up to date. Even if one did now, it wouldn't end up in 0.7.0 since there wouldn't be enough time to test it properly.
or is it likely going to end up an 0.8 feature?
Only if someone continues maintaining it, and all bugs are fixed.

Very nice guys!

I love the improvements I've seen over time in openttd!

If you won't mind I'll add a savegame which shows a minor bug also found in 0.7.0 beta 1 (not tested in versions prior to that).
When you open the game, there's one train that needs to go out of the depot,so with (or without orders), just make it go.

Basically the train will not crash but will drive straight through it's own wagons.
This applies for cargo, passengers as for locomotives.

I also seem to have "ALT"+"ENTER" problems (in windows OpenTTD does not return to fullscreen)

I'd also want to ask for a button in the scenario editor named "play scenario", to directly play the created scenario if possible.

Thanks!

This one is funny:
What happens in openttd if a train hits water?

It explodes! lol

See for yourself. :)

I fail to see what the bug is. Just press start on the train and it'll leave the depot, like expected.

A train can't crash in itself, this is by design (sort-of), since fixing it would require too much cpu iirc.

Suggestions to in a separate topic in the suggestions forum, or (even better) on bugs.openttd.org. They'll just be forgotten if you post them here.

I wanted to delete it to post it somewhere else, but you already replied (and I could no longer delete my post).

While this is still in the development stage I thought I'd get this suggestion in:

The new style for the advanced settings menu is in essence a good idea. However I have found it difficult distinguishing one level of options from the next because the indents are very small between each level of menu. I guess the obvious solution is just to increase the indent to make the menu easier on the eyes.

Worth implementing?

This is very natural. You see magnesium is a very common compond in OpenTTD trains. Usually it's safe because it never rains, but you found the weak spot
