South East Sweden Scenario.

My first scenario, heightmap of southeast Sweden.

From Örebro/Eksjö in the west, to Norrtälje/Stockholm in north/northeast, to Öland and Gotland in south east and Karlskrona/Ronneby in south-southwest. (More exact view you got here.)

Towns are placed out manually and industries are auto, but with many industries deleted.

Peace out. :)

Hello, checked your scenario. You could try enabling tereforming of map edges so you don't need to have water on all four map edges.

Also I find it interesting that Mjölby is North of both Linköping and Norrköping in your map. :) Maybe it was Motala you had in mind but named it Mjölby?

Otherwise good job. :)

I agree, Mjölby is more or less at the Motala location (I was born in Mjölby).

BUT WHERE ARE THE LAKES? Vättern, Boren, Roxen, Glan, Hjälmaren, Mälaren? You can't have a scenario of this part of Sweden and leave out the lakes! Or Göta Kanal?

Is the landscaping based on a height map, or have you terraformed yourself?

That's a heightmap, juding from the cutting west and north. It's looking good but needs quite some "polishing", I suppose. I can help you, if you want. I have precious little time right now, though

Yeah, the north part of uppland has a "little" sharp edge, but I don't know how to fix that without terraforming manually. Any tip? :)

That's correct, have misstaken them. Thanks. :)

Yeah, lakes and sea I got some problems with, will try to edit levels in MicroDEM and see what fix. :)

It's a heightmap.

That would be nice, but I can try a little more today. :)

I'll try to fix this map and then begin to do a heightmap of south sweden (From Värmland-Västmanland-Uppland and south). :)

I will try to make South Sweden tonight, but won't promise anything. :P

I attach the updated version of Southeast Sweden now. A LOT of small citys are _not_ in it (Exept north of Norrköping). There is some typos in citynames. But it's still just a RC. :)

Have fun. :)

Here are two screenshots over the the map.

South part

Sorry to necro this thread, but has anyone got a heightmap/scenario for South Stockholm?

I just want the routes from T-Centralen to Hagsätra and from T-Centralen to Huddinge, at a high resolution.

I'd like to play with recreating the real-life lines, you see, and the current Sweden scenarios are too low resolution to do the stockholm lines - they're ok for doing big cross-country lines but the inner-city lines are impossible.

I'd love to do this work myself, but I don't have access to a computer powerful enough to run Google Earth, and I'm not sure how else to create the heightmaps.

This google maps area is slightly larger than I want but the next zoom level is too small to be useful:
http://maps.google.se/maps?q=stockholm& ... n&t=h&z=12

Thanks in advance :)
