Older Trams like Steam Tram Engines, and Horse Trams

Last week I was watching the local TV station (which I never do) but something drew my attention. It seemed that for a long period (~1880 - ~1950) there were steam trams all over The Netherlands. Maybe it is an idea to create and horse steamtrams for openttd. 3 articulated pieces; A small (preferable smoking steaming

) engine, passenger carriage and a small mail / goods carriage.
I don't have the ability and know-how to create grf's but probably someone know if its possible.
Some inspiration...
This is a remained steamtram.

That particular tram is available as kind of fantasy electrical tram in the Dutch Tram Set. It's introduced around 1940. The information available via the link you provided makes it possible to introduce it as a proper steam tram in 1900.
As for other possible trams: as long as the information gets provided, trams can be created and added to either the Dutch Tramset (in case of Dutch trams ofcourse) or some other set. For now, you might want to try the "extended generic road vehicle and tram set (eGRVTS), as it has horses!

I couldn't wait, LOL, so i've created a impression of what a steam tram would look like by copy-pasting screenshots. I'm thinking about mailing the Public Transport Museum in Doetinchem, and find out if they have any technical details, information and pictures op trams from the company last known as 'Gelderse Tram Maatschapij'. I heard that have al lot of information about the company because it was originally based there.

Unfortunately, a steam smoke effect isn't possible. That's only available for trains, not road vehicles.

Found one! Only it is a train technically spoken. A plus of that is that you can compose your own sets but I'd rather see them using tramways because it is cheaper and easier to send them straight through towns. It is in the UK train set, maybe its possible to convert the one in a real tram.
Another idea, factory's that were situated further away from the existing railway network also used steam tramways, or narrow tracks, to transport anything from to coal, mail, steel, agricultural products etc. etc. Sow maybe it is an idea to create a set with different engines with wagons that you can converse to different type of goods. For example if you look at the Long Vehicle sets the trucks change in appearance if you convert them for instance from goods to iron ore.
I'm currently looking for information about engines and rolling stock.

Okee, I found some information about 2 steam engines.
The first One is a Henschel 6848 built by Henschel & Sohn, introduced in 1904, produces 80 HP, Weighs 16,5 tons.
2nd one is a Backer & Rueb, introduces in 1900, 40 hp.
They both had a top speed of 40 kph.

I recently discovered the narrow track gouge set. I now use it in combination with the Serbian Narrow Gauge Set. But it still lacks a engine like the ones i mentioned and the one in the UK train set. If I only knew how to convert that one so that it can be used on narrow tracks, than I have a pretty realistic steamtram including smoke and everything.
