... I think, should go to someone who is clearly a Voyager Top Man today...

The 12:32 was delayed by the problems at Preston earlier and left thirty late at 13:02. One hour and thirty five minutes later, he arrived at Birmingham three minutes early, having turned around a defecit of THIRTY THREE MINUTES IN A TWO HOUR JOURNEY.

Well played that man.

Serious overspeed, time built in and surely some luck/missed stops...

but all the same... nice :)

I was about to contemplate whether there was enough slack on the timetable in order for that to be possible but he simply couldn't have done it without speeding; even with Virgin's excessive amount of recovery time!

How did he do it? 125mph through Smethwick Galton Bridge? :P

Edit: I had a quick look at NXEC, and it seems that every other direct train is timetabled to take 1:41 with the same stopping pattern, so it would probably would have just been possible if the driver was absolutely focused :) - still impressive though. Virgin must be pulling out all the stops to improve their PPM

Actually, looking back at it, it's given it 2 hours 9 minutes to do the journey, as opposed to the one hour forty it usually gets. Cheers live departure boards.

But still - it looks impressive :P I love the GOOD Voyager drivers - it's inevitable that if you're ten minutes late at Crewe, you'll be on time at Wolves or Preston.

And then they say that I am the only one who is speeding. :P
