Hi, as you've probably guessed already I'm new here so if I miss something out or ask something which has previously been answered I apologise and would greatly appreciate it if you could direct me to the topic.

So I've been playing transport tycoon deluxe for about ten years now, half of which has been on ttdpatch (my original cd got scratched and wouldn't read anymore ). I've just started reaping the benefits of the new graphics available, but I've come accross a problem. It seems that no matter how hard I look I can't find any train sets that contain both electrified railway and either maglev or monorail engines.

Are there any out there or is it impossible to create such a set? I know that some people create sets by altering the existing data therefore replacing engines and such but if there is such a set out there I would be extremely greatful if anyone could give me a link to a download site.

They are quite possible to create. See DBSetXL for an example. (With the appropriate unifiedmaglev setting, of course.)

Thing that you can't find any set of with a lot of maglev (or monorail) vehicles out there is because almost each and every set represents an era and/or a certain region. Because maglev isn't common in the world, it rarely ends up in those sets.

If a set contains maglev vehicles, it usually only can transport passengers, because that's what maglevs do in real life.

afaik the UKRS has a maglev section, and a not too shabby one at that.

I've just had a look at the UKRS maglev section, but in quite a few of my games I've got past 2050 and no maglev construction option has appeared?? What switch setting do you have to have the unifiedmaglev switch on to get both electric and maglev?

I managed to get the monorail construction option by putting the switch on "keep maglev and monorail separate" but no maglev option appeared.
