i to have decided to start my own screenshot thread, my first pictures are going to be from one of my games
ill just be posting shots from my games

(page 5 is where it all starts )

Write into Your topic title which game are You playing, TTDPatch or OpenTTD

one problem i dont exactly know how to post them with them showing i only get them in a download box
(and how can i change the topic name??)

Maybe it's because your shots are too big?

i figured out that i could put them on using hosting from image shack

Don't host them on image shack. If you want them to appear inline make sure they are smaller than 800x600px, anything larger means they won't be opened in the topic.

Just attach your pictures. The download box will appear if the pictures are too wide, but it doesn't matter that much. People will still get a chance to see your pictures.
Otherwise you can use Irfanview, GIMP or Photoshop (among others) to crop your pictures to the right size (800 pixels wide)

i havent got any of those

i saved it in paint but it opens in fireworks and is really pixely
and it wasn't pixelated in paint

I usually skip screenshots which aren't being displayed inline.

Well, that's your loss, isn't it?

And hectobar, it really isn't all the difficult to crop the pictures. Paint has a pixel counter as well, so it wouldn't be too hard to crop your pictures to the desired size.
