Lil' euro question

I've downloaded the euro.exe file and ran it in my TTD folder. But I can't choose the euro currency from the option window. Now, is this caused by:

-the euro not showing up till the year 2002?
-a bad file?
-me, a computer retard, who always succeeds in messing up everything?
-something else?

NB: I searched the forum but couldn't find an awnser.

Well, if we here, in Eastern-Central Europe are also regarded as Europeans, then, concerning Euro, no. Definitely not. Only when I went to Spain and Austria.
We'll have Euro instead of Forint in 2008 earliest.

And, by the way, not even British, Danish and Swedish realise anything change in their currency... :))

Nope that's why I posted this topic

I'm not sure what the euro is, but I heard it's incompatible with the Dutch economy.....

You also can't 'choose' Euro in the options window - it converts Deutschmarks, Francs and Pesatas to display as Euros in the bottom-right corner but not in the Options window so you must click Francs, Deutschmarks or Pesatas to show Euros.

And don't forget the euro switch:

// `euro' (-Ye) changes national currencies (DM, FF and Pt) to Euro after 2001.
