Hi all!
I've made a model for the Locomotion, and I'd like to ask you to look it through and show me my mistakes if you find any. I'm not an experienced modeller, anyway, the model is more or less done. This is a model of a wide-spread Russian close-distance airliner Tupolev Tu-134A. This pack contains two paint schemes - Samara Airlines and Aeroflot (with a personal name "Saint-Petersburg" givet to this aircraft).
Here it is (renewed version - 1.01):
Also I want to show you renders of a plane with a better quality.
Samara Airlines:

Many thanks to Damage who showed me how to insert a model into the Locomotion, and to strongbow, who has given me several advices for sprites production. And, of course, to Pospeloff, who has answered a billion of my stupid questions!

Ah nice. What about the scene I've sent you? It should make your planes look a bit better - they're a bit washed out and bright now. Try the scene. But very good work on the model itself!

Suddenly we have 2 more plane modellers in a few weeks time...

Thanks for the comment - I've tried the scene you've sent me and made a new version of a plane. So, this is the result. I've used your (or Damaged?) scene, also I've found Damage's comment to An-124 regarding "Brightness and Contrast" effect. It is rather useful, I think, but instead of recommended 0,6-0,7 value I used 0,3. Also in the scene I've changed the settings for the PNG files - with the default settings the game crashes while filecheck.
Anyhow - here it is. You can download a new version of my Tu-134 from the first post here. And the screenshot of a renewed plane is below:

I've added to the scenery your Tu-154 to compare the scale and everything else))
Thanks for the comment!

Ah that looks much better.

I think now it's almost perfect - the only last thing you can do is make the white fuselage material a bit darker, so there is definition in its curvature. Right now it's completely flat white, but I understand it's my... umm Damage's

scene - I know it's quite bright light-wise, so just tune down this one material to make it less full bright (darker ambient colour for example).
But anyway
very good work and looking forward to more planes from you. What's next on your agenda?

Actually I can make it darker, but it is flat white)) I mean - on the real paint scheme top of fuselage (or even whole fuselage) is painted white. I'm trying to make a model of a real plane with a real textures, thats why I've painted it like this.

Oh, I didn't notice the second question. Two minutes ago I've finished with a studio for Tupolev Tu-204-300. So tonight (if I don't fall asleep) I'm going to make a geometry of this plane. And in a day or so finish with textures for it and make a game-model)

wow great work, maybe you could use your skills to create another aircraft pack?

Actually I'm already working on the set of a Russian/Soviet/Russian planes. Not alone, in Damage's team on TTDRussia forum. So the next one, as I've promised, is Tupolev Tu-204-320. Here is its render without anything:

- Render of a Tu-204. Clear model, neither textures nor materials are used.

At the moment I'm making textures for it.

The first texture for a Tu-204. This is, as far as I know, the first plane of a series, made in 1991 after all tests and so on, that's why she carries Soviet signs.

In plans I'm going to make some additional textures for this plane, such as Cairo Airlines, Vladivostok Avia, Red Wings, Cubana Airlines, may be Sibir' and Vnukovo, but ATu (Aviastar-Tu) and Cubana for sure for the cargo version.

And again - good day))
Here is the Tupolev Tu-204-300, passenger version:
Sorry, my fault)) That file contained Tu-134A. And this one below contains Tu-204-300 in the versions - Aeroflot and Dalavia.
Please test it and tell me the results. Meanwhile I'll make some additional textures, that I promised to make.
And also as usual the screenshot of a plane in the game:

This one looks much better, mainly because there is more shading in the white.

Also you can try having a go at sharper textures - in the bitmap section where you load the texture, put blur on 0.5 and change filtering to summed area. It works much better.
Great work and looking forward to your new planes!

Hello
@ Werminaard: Are you shure, that the Tu 134 A has a glass nose? In my memory[1] only the Tu 134 had one and a bump at the bottom of the fuselage for the radar. The Tu 134 A had the radar in the nose.

Good question. First of all, aviation is not my profession - only a hobby. So I've never flew Tu-134A, only later versions. But according to the information I've found here:
http://www.airwiki.org/enc/aliner/tu134a.html (sorry, it is on Russian, but there is a photo) Tu-134A still had a navigator's cabin in the nose instead of a radar. Yes, it is told there that there was a modification of a Tu-134A with "Groza" radar in nose, but it wasn't a base model, right? =) The main difference between Tu-134 and Tu-134A was not the nose, but another engines and a fuselage 2.1 meter longer.

Thanks again for the advice. I've used it making a new texture. Here is a screenshot of Tu-204 in the game, both textures. =)

It was very hard to read. My last lesson in russian language was 21 years ago.

I don't know, if it was a base model. Interflug flew only the "radar nozed" model of the Tu 134 A.
Werminaard wrote:The main difference between Tu-134 and Tu-134A was not the nose, but another engines and a fuselage 2.1 meter longer.
Yes, most of the additional length went into the baggage room direct behind the cockpit. The reason was the disadvantageous centre of mass of the Tu 134 (An only short distance from the main landing gear to the bow and therefore a comparatively heavy rear of the aircraft.).

Right) Interflug flew an export version of Tu-134A =) It seems to me that as usual it differs from the internal one, doesn't it?

What else is planned - how about the other major new Ex-soviet type, the Tu334, or maybe even a SSJ 100?
