[RELEASE] GT Racers v2.0

Simulate 60s endurance races in Locomotion with this pack. Included are 2 classic cars, the Porsche 906 and the Ford GT40 in 2 liveries. Before you ask, there is no real use for this in Locomotion, just burning your hard-earned money in style. ;) See the included racetrack.png on how to set up your racers, otherwise they'll be stopping at the start/finish straight and having problems exiting the pitlane, which I've built with a normal one-way road. The pitboxes are passenger terminals built on top of standard road pieces. Get creative with your racetracks and have fun!

In the 2.0 package you'll find three additional modern GT cars, entered at recent FIA GT and Le Mans races by the british Prodrive group. The update includes the Ferrari 550 Maranello and Aston Martin DBR9 in both green and Gulf liveries.

Thanks to robinH for the sound implementation!

Includes:

-60s Cars-

CARRERA6.dat - Porsche 906 (Carrera 6)
GT40.dat - Ford GT40 (red)
GT40GULF.dat - Ford GT40 (Gulf oil)

-Modern Cars-

F550.dat - Ferrari 550 Maranello
DBR9.dat - Aston Martin DBR9 (green)
DBR9GULF.dat - Aston Martin DBR9 (Gulf oil)

-Sound-

SNDGT.dat - GT Sound (required by the above cars)

-Road-

ROADRACE.dat - Race Road
STARTFIN.dat - Start/Finish Straight (a station in Loco terms)

i like it
maybe someone could make a tourist industry that looks like a grandstand it could be placed next to the racetrack and we could have working racetracks

Yup, had that idea too, but would need to create the graphics. A funny side-effect could be that passengers would gather around the starting line, which is actually a bus stop. :o

Call em pit crews? lol..

maybe you can make the "starting line" a track/road add-on like an overhead electric pole?

They are a digital representation of a race car created in 3D, exported and coded for use in the video game Locomotion by Chris Sawyer?

I suggest a digital representation of $2 created in 3D, exported and coded for use in the video game Locomotion by Chris Sawyer.
