You know what annoys me? All the "Railroad building Guides" and such tell you how to make stations that will never jam, junctions that won't slow the trains, and mandatory depots using the least amount of space, but none really gives overall advice on networks, like the best way to keep your trains from going the wrong way, or how to make an oveflow track that is actually shorter than youyr station (so trains will go on it instead of through the station when they want to just pass through, and which is better Ro-ro stations, or stations like this:

Code: Select all

------------\/--STATION--\/--------------
------------/\--STATION--/\--------------
?

Blargh...we DO need a gliphy script.

Right about now I am going to barge in and say, why? I think that advice to building a junction is only helpful, not annoying. It helps you improve your junction until near impossible perfection. If you don't like them, don't visit them!

doesn't annoy that they have junction's and all it annoys me that they DON'T have stuff like "the best way to keep your trains from going the wrong way, or how to make an oveflow track that is actually shorter than youyr station (so trains will go on it instead of through the station when they want to just pass through, and which is better Ro-ro stations, or stations" (like I showed in my code)

Not meaning to barge in, but one problem I have found with railroad guides is that they fail to involve any features of TTDPatch. We don't really need those complicated signalling setups, because of presignals. We don't need forced servicing because we can now tell the train to Go To Depot. Stuff like that, these guides were written a while ago. We need something recent.

Oh sorry, misunderstood you.
