I've notice this when i put a crossing on a double track line that if the first crossing is clear but the second is not clear because a train is coming then the vehicle will stop, then a second train on the first crossing is coming and the second train has not cleared the second crossing so the raod vehicle get hit. how do you get both crosing to activate when one train is coming.

I think there is a button that toggles it on or off in the settings if not then you could allways do a patch they usally help

I don't know why but I get the feeling that you are talking about OTTD because there are very little toggle buttons in TTDP. Note. This is the TTDP section so your advice is almost entirely useless, especially as you fail to go into any detail whatsoever.

There's no such toggle in OpenTTD either ;-)

Well, my statement remains the same, Open tends to have more toggles than the Patch (I refer mainly to the "Configure Patches" menu.
Thanks for clearing this up though :)

More toggles, yes, but fewer options.
