of course......do you know what a netsplit even is? it's when some servers get disconnected from the others. If they didn't heal themselves, there wouldn't be a network, just a jumble of servers.

But how many servers are there? I mean, #tycoon has 30 people, a netsplit occures and EWERYONE is left alone.

there used to be more than 30, but there was a cluster of servers that left a while back, dunno now.

and, Zetor, if you're the only person on tycoon on the server you're on, and your server splits, than all the other servers will also split from you......you see?

I don't know how I did it either. Earlier this evening I ran some emule and DFBHD-TS but when you stop that you would expect the lag to ceize. Maybe the problem was my ISP (they appearently flashed all cable modems into hibernation earlier).

Does anyone know of Trillian can connect to the tycoon channel? The chat applet at this site, often doesn't work: "couldn't look up your hostname".

Trillian can connect to IRC so yes it can connect to quakenet so yes it can join tycoon.
