Is there a way to get the Electric rails to change their graphics at a certain year?
I'd like to have the overhead cables on Electric rails change to a third rail in the later years of a game.

Yes, but it's not a very shiny implementation, because you have to reload the game in order for the changes to take effect.
But if that's not a problem to you, you could use Action07 for the job.

What do you mean by 'reload the game'?
Also, what's Action07?

I had a conversation with DaleStan.. he said that Action07 is easier.. but varAction2 is the right way to do it.. (actually one similar thing)

Well, basically, save game, stop playing, return to title screen and reload savegame.

Forgive me for asking, but how do you use varAction2 for rail graphics? Is there a way to use it for generic real sprites?

That do I not know

You know I'm not THE specialist.. And I didn't know that you can use it only for engines or something like that. (Still don't know)
Sorry for false information then.

You can only use VarAction2 for things that have a feature byte.
