Well. I drop on IRC from time to time. Noone is there :>
Anyway.
I am working on the terrain, then new infrastructure is ready. Currently I am writing the terrain display code.
Done atm:
1. Create Ogre window, possible to draw in it.
2. Working input (mouse, keyboard)
2a. zoom, rotate and move terrain is operable
3. Working timing
4. Terrain
4a. is displayed
4b. is editable
4c. can be generated at runtime
4d. can be resized
5. Terrain (undone)
5a. Lightning
5b. Weather changes
5c. Type changes and transitions (mountains, deserts etc.)
5d. Seasonal changes (snow etc)
Anyway.

Yeah I missed you the oher day, I saw it an hour after you left. Perhaps if you stay on irc we might catch eachother.
Btw, nice work on the new generator. As soon as we can get rid of the old engine I'll try and resetup the Linux support.

Is this just the 'thing' which displays the generated terrain, or are you also focussing on a terrain generator which generates a realistic terrain? (Since your terrain doesn't look very realistic )
