32bpp version ... eee...
Sorry for a dumb question, but... where i can get 32bpp version of OTTD? Is it real? It looks like it's a "normal" version which i can download from official site (i didn't see any special 32bpp versions).

Yes. But they aren't coded. Generally everything we have done has been put up there.

Re: 32bpp version ... eee...
On the wiki it say's "4. Open your openttd.cfg with the text editor of your choice." But i can't find the openttd.cfg file in the installation folder. I have the 0.6.0 beta 2 version installed, and already have edited the patches through the "configure patches" menu in the game. But still, the openttd.cfg file doesn't show... any advice?
Re: 32bpp version ... eee...
On Windows, it's in My Documents, under "OpenTTD".Buran wrote:On the wiki it say's "4. Open your openttd.cfg with the text editor of your choice." But i can't find the openttd.cfg file in the installation folder.

Try your local directory. On linux it's /home/MyUserName/.openttd , for win C:\Users\MyUserName\Documents\OpenTTD

Re: 32bpp version ... eee...
have you downloaded any 32bpp tars? they don't come bundled.
Re: 32bpp version ... eee...
Of course... I've tried to add the tars manually to the openttd.cfg, but can't see the new sprites, and entries are deleted after finishing the game.

Read this: http://wiki.openttd.org/index.php/Playi ... p_graphicsoboka wrote:Of course... I've tried to add the tars manually to the openttd.cfg, but can't see the new sprites, and entries are deleted after finishing the game.
Read it again. If you can't get any help from there, then I can't help you too...
Re: 32bpp version ... eee...
I've read this page a zillion times. Can TARS be added using the game's GUI just like newGRF?
Re: 32bpp version ... eee...
No. You just put them in the "data" folder and the game will handle them automatically, as they contain all the necessary info.
Re: 32bpp version ... eee...
OK! Thanks! thats the info I nedeed, this should be said in the wiki

Re: 32bpp version ... eee...
I can see put the graphics tar file(s) in the data directory..It's said there.wiki wrote:In order to play with 32bpp graphics, follow the guide below.
1. Have OpenTTD 0.6.0 beta 1 or nightly build r11119 or later installed. (Make sure you know which folder it is in.)
2. Go to the folder where OpenTTD is installed.
3. Put the 32bpp graphics tar file(s) in the data directory. This is the same directory where you put your NewGRFs.
4. Open your openttd.cfg with the text editor of your choice.
5. Add blitter = 32bpp-simple under the [misc] section and save the file. This is a foolproof way to get 32bit graphics working - if you want more choice, familiarize yourself with the section below.
Re: 32bpp version ... eee...
Yes, but doesn't say that they are configured automatically.
It even says:
It even says:
so anyone can think that they work the same way. This is the same directory where you put your NewGRFs

Re: 32bpp version ... eee...
The reason of manuals is that nobody should think with their own heads. If they do, they get into trouble. Following those 5 steps and doing only those five steps, is not hard..But anyway, because you already succeeded, I won't naga anymore
