32bpp - ugly 8bpp green tiles

Hi,

I'm currently using some 32bpp sprites like grasstiles and some industries, and I must say, it lookt fantastic. However, some tiles are still ugly 8bpp green tiles (see in clickable screenie. Somebody got an idea how to get this away (perhaps copy the 32bpp grass tiles and rename them to the sprites for the ugly green tiles), or is there already some tar-file to get rid of these tiles?

you could use the newterrain grf, then the tiles you don't replace with 32bpp should look better too

Grolsch. Those rough grass tiles were never done by GeekToo. He might be doing those, but I don't know for sure..What I know for sure, is that the Power Plant in your pic is unfinished. It has two sprites missing in your pic..but I thought I had given you only the ready ones..Strange..Did you modify it? Because that's the only way (apart from bugs in Open) how can you see half-finished power plant. And I suggest you to be aware too..I'll maybe release another version soon.

I've downloaded the Power plant from wiki last night and it looks pretty much the same, as the one above. Also I've noticed there are some missing rail sprites in Ben's temperate pack...

Because Ben didn't finished them. If he'll finish them, and relase as a .tar for bigger zoom, I'll add them to the pack. So let him work on ground tiles.

That's cool with me. I only was wondering if you were aware of this, and if yes that's fine.
I just love these tracks... and roads... and grass... and tunnels... and 32bpp basically...

I downloaded it from the Wiki. Thought some part didn't look 32bpp though ;) I'll check your link out...

edit: looking good! Can't seem to find the tar... Only screenshots. Do you have a place where I can download the tar?

For the green parts: I'll just wait the until somebody makes new sprites for them in 32bpp. Or someone must have another solution, I'll be right here in this topic waiting for it ;)

edit2: On the wiki there is a good tar now! Start playing right now :D

Although not exactly the same as Geektoo's style, I have made the bumpy sections of grass which I think Soeb has included here, but they mimic the originals at high zoom. If you are desperate for bump's in 32bpp then resizing and hue/saturating these may make them fit to Geektoo's grass set. I'm unclear if your last 'edit' was referring to this or not though.

I think he was referring to lordazamaths Power Plant. I'll update that pack with better grass graphics if all those graphics will have all zoom levels.

You're right, I was talking about the power plant.
