i found openttd 5.3 ai was smart heres some pictureshere

If that is smart then you need to join a top-level (eg with very good players) multiplayer game like #ottdcoop.

I wouldnt say smart, more "less stupid". For example picture 2 going from Little Monfield North it has a 45 then 90 degree turn in opposite directions before entering a tunnel, where 2 straights would suffice.

Old AI (from my experience) is only smarter (not smart) when it has got enough money and terrain isn't that "rugged".
