So, I edited ttdpatch...

I edited the ttdpatch in order to gain income from my trains once again... Everyone says that works for them. But still, I can't seem to get any income from some of my trains. A number appears above them when they deliver cargo, but it doesn't register on my balance sheet. In particular passenger transport and planes is affected by this. I was using 0.5.2 until recently, when I updated to 0.5.3-RC3 but alas, I still don't get any money. Anyone knows how to fix this?

These are the OpenTTD forums. If you're having troubles with TTDPatch, ask in the TTDPatch forums, and use a valid TTDPatch version number.
If, on the other hand, you're having trouble with OpenTTD, then what does editing TTDPatch have to do with anything?

Well... I've seen this problem on other forums dedicates to ttd and all they say is "edit the ttdpatch". I might have confused the forums though.
Anyways, I use openttd and have that problem I described. Do you know what causes it?

Most likely, you're using transfers in your orders.
Transfers are good, but don't forget to NOT use transfers at the FINAL leg of the trip

I greatly appreciate your response, but there is one thing I don't get... When passengers are concerned, don't you have to use transfer? Unless you want the train only to load/unload instead of doing both? If they can only load/unload that would effectively halve the income, no?

To my knowledge, there is no difference in the treatment of the cargo "passengers" (apart a few stuff).
A way to handle the passengers is to simply ask the train to go to station a and to station b and to station n, without any orders (transfert, load, unload)...
Like a simple bus run, in fact... and on each stop, you'll have your income.

prehaps this makes more sense

For passengers, the best thing to do it to send vehicles to station without any particular order : they will unload passengers if they can, they load if they can.
Don't use full load/unload options (nor transferts)
