Trukz - Online Transport Game

I reckon making TT or similar into an online game woudl be near impossible, this might be the closest yet though! Trukz is an online trucking simulation game:
http://www.trukz.com.
You can only drive trucks at the moment, that could change though i suppose. Ships and busses would be nice?!
Anyway, its browser based, NO downloads, FREE, and fun. You can set up companies, we could set up a Transport Tycoon company!
Try it out anyway its a nice distraction for a few minutes a day.

Hmm, there is a TOC game about too but it is quite tricky. I have tried lots of these things but they get unexciting after a bit - but I might give this a shot.

Buy the most expensive truck you can, even though you will have no money afterwards. Drive until your fatigue is 11 but no more as you might fall asleep!

Yep, that seems to be the way to go. Might have chosen a route a little too long for my first run, from Minneapolis to Halifax!

Crikey!
Apparently until recently the most profitable route was glass between the SE of the US and the NW of Alaska! It took a good week to run, but made you oodles of cash. This game is good fun actually.

Lol I fell asleep and crashed on ten units. I'm currently working for Tropical Trucking, although cant seem to get anywhere in time to benefit from a company contract.

I'm with them too, I managed to get a contract load in which was quite profitable

Contract loads are the way to go, but i seem to always be in the wrong place at the wrong time for them.
So we got only 4 members playing? Hmm, a few more and I feel a Transport Tycoons company in the offing.

Definitely although we should all try and become co-owners. I did make about $6k working for Tropical but reinvested it in a new $10k truck as my old one was a total rustbucket - and my new one can do 68mph. Wooo!

Ok everyone, I have cobbled together enough cash and establish a company, so please join Tycoon Transport (clever eh?) at
http://www.trukz.com/company_display.asp?ID=164.

Since no one else has joined you yet, thought I'd break the trend (logged in as DRAXX). I've just started playing the game (it seems a little bit more complex than Pirates on face book mind). I'm a bit boggled by the fact I have to physically step away from the computer and leave the game to tick over in real time to simulate driver rest hours!

Good of you to join us. Most online games take a little bit of processing time between moves I guess, and Trukz has quite a clever way of doing it.
First tip to you would be avoid the general merchandise, and use the Google maps function to find supply and demand relationships. Some companies tell their truckers what to do - but for now I would rather you all drive around freely as long as it makes money - I find routes of about 1000 miles work best and that you want the highest $ per mile possible - the 'calculate' option on the route map screen is useful to project this.
