i know i have another thread in which i put my scenarios and savedgames, but i think this scenario deserves it's own thread.

as the title says this is a romania scenario. i also included Moldova, Hungary, Bulgaria, Ukraine and Serbia.
this scenario is a combination between sub-arctic and temperate.. the combination consists in: i started this scenario as a subacrtic terrain type and realised it doesn't have iron ore, so here's what i did. i saved the scenario, changed it's extension, played it as a savedgame, switched the climate using cheats and then i renamed it to the *.scn extension again. VOILA! here you got it.

industries' and towns' positions are respected accordingly.

size: 512x512
industries: all temperate industries
difficulty: hard. profitable resources are in the mountains. less profitable ones are in the fields.
starting year: 1970
compatible with openttd version 0.5.2 or newer.

EDIT: i removed the newterrain.grf, which i realised it was useless and made this new version without it. enjoy!

I assume this is for OTTD as you say the size is 512x512. Perhaps you could change the title accordingly?

So there is no need to use any newgrfs to have this scenario running?
And there are no problems with snow in temperate climate?
Idea of profitable industries high in mountains is pretty nice, so I may give a try

How about creating neighbouring lands? The rectangular shape of land may put some people off trying this scenario. (well, it puts me off)

Nice to see this scenario, I'm just home from a trip to Romania. Been in Brasov and Sighisoara and recognize a lot of other places. Can't wait to play it, it's a bit too late now

Nice Scenario. One thing I noticed was that there was a lot of water area that wasn't used. If you did fill that in, it would look a lot better. Also, did you use a heightmap to generate the terrain?

Erm, sorry for the bump, but since when Romania doesn't have the big depression in the middle of the Charpathic arc?

There you go! Heightmap for Romania. It still needs improvements, but until I will have time to work in photoshop this will work! Also you can edit this in Scenario Editor... have fun

Nice scenario, but here is mine. It's much bigger than the Dopefish's scn (2048X2048). Scenario made with heightmap from SRTM date.

I've created a server with the Romanian scenario created by Dopefish.
I would like to maybe add Romanian vehicles and trains, but not sure yet.
I would also like to add a few more grf's to it and possibly customise it, but I am open to suggestions.
