Please add your set's website to Linkage

I notice still many many websites about graphics sets aren't added to
Linkage, and I wonder why. Is
Linkage not known enough (and thus not advertised enough)?. Or do some website creators not want to add their website to
Linkage? In that case I'd like to know why.
When looking for TTRS and Av8, I noticed both Zimmlocks as PikkaBirds websites are not added to
Linkage, but I bet there are many more.
Please add your set's website (or any other TT-related website) to Linkage! The Transport Tycoon Link Collector.
Thanks in advance.

Could you please change the link to my page from "
www.patagonia.de.vu" to "
www.ttdpatch.de", please?

GRFCrawler collects direct links to GRFs, IIRC. Linkage links to website which are (or are not) containing links to GRFs somewhere.
Yeah, tried to do that a few hours ago and discovered I forgot the admin pass

I've asked SpComb to give me the admin pass, and I'll change the link once I got the pass (unless I forget, which might happen too

)

Who cleans up the dead links like the one for Dinges' site?

ATM, nobody, but perhaps it'd be nice to have a feature for that. I'll await SpComb's point of view about that (assuming he'll read this topic).

A reason GRF Crawler has actually 3 links, one points to the download, one to the authors homepage, one to discussions...
-edit-
But surely an link portal is usefully as well

Maybe it's good to marry the two sites?

I don't know but GRFCrawler is quite extensive and I think a link-site would be an easy addition.

The probable solution to issues like that is automated checking of links for 4xx errors and 3xx redirections, disabling/updating links as appropriate. Linkage already fetches all submitted urls and has plenty of code to handle the responses, so it wouldn't even be very much work. I'm reluctant to implement user logins for a link portal, and one-ttforums-post-per-broken-link is hardly a good solution either.

I do believe that GRFCrawler is more suited than linkage for what's in the Graphics Sets category, but not for the others. Where on
GRFCrawler would you put, for instance, the link to the #tycoon logs?

That doesn't mean you shouldn't add a link to your GRF-related website to Linkage. It's only less than 5 minutes of work and only requires updating after an URL-change.
SpComb, did you get my PM?
