Polish Language

Hello. There are few bugs in polish translation:
1)not translated "All trains/ships" etc in menu
2)not working polish symbols "ą,ć,ż,ź,ę,ś,ń,ł". We have "?"
3)missing symbol in ships menu. We have "Bez nazwy - x Statów" and should be "Statków"
4)it's easy to fix 2) - just edit "openttd.cfg" and add font name like Verdana or something - but then minimap legend is totaly bugged(not only in polish)
I hope it's good place to post this stuff. If not, sry and plz move this topic to right place.

You can change the sizes for small police.

Ad. 4 - you have to change font and also change font size in config file.

Maybe but it's not so simple ;d
1 - new font
2 - smaller font
3 - smaller font 2
As you can see it's not any solution to this problem. And it would be nice if it work without any editing. Not everyone know that you must add something to cfg

Dobry wieczor,
When Im in Poland visiting my girlfriend, I use Polish names on there. I use the Tahoma font for medium and large fonts. Sadly, Ive not found a good small font that is still legible so I stick with the standard one. It means I dont get Polish characters when zoomed out or on the map, but I get them on the main zoom levels.
As for the translations... they are done by volunteers. Im sure you will be welcomed if you are able to translate some bits for the community! Contact one of the developers and they will let you know what to do (Or maybe check and see if there is translation information on the wiki page at openttd.org)

I use those settings with Windows version of OpenTTD

small_font = Verdana Bold
medium_font = Tahoma Bold
large_font = Tahoma Bold
small_size = 7
medium_size = 10
large_size = 16
And it doesn't really look bad:

Czesc!
I might try the Verdana at some point then. Do the Polish characters look ok on small font? Im not so worried about fonts on the map but more the fonts in the vehicle list windows.

As GLX says, thats not the small font. Click on the vehicle list where all of your trains appear. The small font will be showing their profit/income. How does that look in Verdana?
