Media Centre Edition is XP.
iranair777, have you installed TTD properly, and have you got a recent (2.5 beta or 2.6 nightly) version of TTDPatch? If in doubt, there's this useful little program called Nr-TTD which semi-automates the process.

There is no "Media Centre 'Edition'" in any form. There are five versions of Vista:
1. Home Basic
2. Home Premium
3. Business
4. Enterprise
5. Ultimate
I believe that Home Premium and Ultimate contain the Media Centre.

EDIT: Do you mean this? You could have pressed YES and it would downloaded TTDP and fix the registry keys.
TTDown has found an existing installation of TTD. Do you wish TTDown to use it or to download it from the internet and install a fresh copy?
but now im using OTTP, but am not sure which is better- OTTP or TTDP
Same problem here! I installed nr-ttd_latest on my home PC, then made few changes in ttdpc.exe and when I try to open the game (ttdpatchw.exe) it tells me that "TTD is not installed properly <registry error 2>".iranair777 wrote:i still have error reading registry error 2
I have done the exactly same things on my office PC and there it works with no problem at all (except that those damned trains won't go where they should, no matter which signals I use, but that I'll figure out myself hopefully

Ok, That kinda solves it.SpComb wrote:Try running run_forcenoreg.bat instead of ttdpatchw.exe.Nebthe wrote:when I try to open the game (ttdpatchw.exe) it tells me that "TTD is not installed properly <registry error 2>".

Now how can I make it to run on full screen?? I tried to open GameGFX.exe (where I knew I can find an option for that) but it tells me that the game was not installed properly

PS: why do I have these problems on my home computer but not on my office one? I did the same things on each of the two....
No, you didn't know that. Because the option isn't there. You'll have to open registry.ini and change the appropriate number from a 0 to a 1.Nebthe wrote:I tried to open GameGFX.exe (where I knew I can find an option for that)
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.
