Improvement had to be made to Saskatoon Junction which included lengthening the signal block to the north which was causing traffic disruptions as well as removing level crossings in the block to the south.
Financial performance was significantly improved as of the January 1,1998 report shown below. We will monitor the situation for one more year before initiating any new phases of this project.
1998 was uneventful. Rocky Mountain 2 #1998 was replaced as 1918. Train income increased significantly ahead of running costs with a resulting nice performance in net profits which were added to retained earnings as working capital. The January 1.1999 financial report is shown below.
It would appear that the traffic problems at Kamloops Station and Saskatoon Junction have been resolved. The next phase of the Project will be an evaluation of operations with an eye to increasing profitability as some trains appear to be performing below potential.
