 (15km/h is quite fast for a horse pulled vehicle. (At walking speed that is. :P )

no no no no not even steam yet!! How about horsecars as pre-train railyways?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horsecar

I think every type of vehicletype (except for planes) can be realised:

Rails:
1800 to 1880: Horsecars. (Even trams!)
1880 to 20th century: From early locomotives to regular TT trainset.

Road vehicles:
1800 to 1890: Horse pulled roadvehicles. (Lorries busses etc.)
1890 to 20th century: From early combustion motor road vehicles to regular TT road vehicle set.

Ships
1800 to 1900: Paddle steamers and sailboats. (Galley's?) :)
1900 to 20th century: Regular TT ship set.

no pre 1820 there would be pre train railways...like horse railways... and then very early steam locos like the rocket...the rest of your suggestion are nice

Trains only after 1880?

Check out:

'Jupiter' American Class 440 around 1855.

Even before, in 1830 the John Bull was a quite good engine.
And of course, many more.

Another good idea would be dirt roads until 1910 or something like that,
(bump)

I started on some dirt roads for 32bpp ages ago, when it becomes possible to have multiple road types, I intend to work on them some more.

This topic seems kind of demanding. Why not make some graphics yourself Gurluas2000, or at least make a better request, rather than just saying what you want, and bumping after 12 hours. Mabye then something shall come of it.

Patience is mostly the art of knowing when to speak and when to SHUT UP.

Well I might look up the road sprites today, and draw dirt roads. Have patience since I'm quite slow and easy frustrated on mondays. :P

Orly? i though patience was the art of being able to wait for something without exploding
