This is one of my ideas, but it needs a lot of time and work. It's about drawing of czech historical monuments, like chateaux and castles and implementation into the game as industry. I've drawn the castle Karlstejn. In the future I intend to draw Cervena Lhota, and many other objects (Bouzov, Nachod...)
Karlstejn -
more info.

Wow, that looks pretty good

. One question though, are those trees at the castle drawn with the castle itself or will it show the default trees if you don't use SAC's trees?

These little trees are from SAC, she allowed me to use them, bud I had to cut them down a little. They are drawn with the castle and they don't change anyway.

Wooow,
Did you really draw that yourself.

Most impressive.
But, unfortunately, due to the size, this would have to be an industry to work ingame...

He certainly did draw it himself. And yes, it will be an industry, that's the plan. Why should it be unfortunate?

Woah, impressive. The drawing style isn't really TT-ish, IMO, but the shape and detailling is impressive.

really good-looking, although it could do with a tad bit more shading. looks very impressive nonetheless.

I've been in that castle!

It looks really close to the real thing, good job!

That is a fantastic drawing. Just one question ... it appears to be set on two or three different elevations. That would mean that unless the ground tiles were just right the game would never build it. How do you propose handling this?
On a related note, eis_os (Oskar) is developing a special objects feature for ttdx ... this would be an ideal candidate if his coding supports it. Note that the new objects button and window already exists in the ttdx nightly patches but Oskar is still working on the code to support it.

I'd personally go for the optical illusion and allow that to be built on a flat array of tiles. Sure if you know they're flat you'll be able to see straight through it; but for those who don't it will still look as good as ever.
Just look at the image as it is... that could easily be built on flat tiles and just have it's own proprietary MoundsOfDirt(tm)
...and for my own 2c; I think you just need to darken the main building texture by a shade or two. Awesome job!

Once again the Czech community comes through.
I don't think I have the words to describe. You must have put so much effort in.
Kudos.

It is intended to be build on flat land, indeed. Elevation is just optical.
And concerning newobjects, it really crossed my mind. I'll see, what will occur as better idea.
Thanks for compliments

I don't really think this is really suitable for newobjects - for one, it's one of Czech Republic's most prominent tourist attractions and it would be nice to keep it as such. Therefore it needs to be capable of accepting and producing cargo, which is something newobjects are not intended for. Furthermore, it does not make any sense whatsoever for the player to be able to construct castles (this one was founded in the 14th century!).

Very nice!

Will this be tourist industry?

Do you need a coder for this beautiful looking castle?

by Darkwalker
Probably not, but thanks. I think the best I could do is code it by myself. I'll handle it as the exercise of coding

Well, if you ever do need someone to code it, please send me a message.

Really Nice one. Could I ask you for permission to include it into ECS town vector?

I was also considering asking to include it in a Tourist Set Expansion pack.
