New logo

Hi there,
It's just that I was chatting a bit, playing a game of TT, and then I figured when I browsed the forums: 'The logo!'
It's has been made by Observer in 2003 or something, maybe earlier, and it has been a fine logo, but I tought with the marvels of TT nowadays in both TTDP and OTTD, the logo could use a modernising touch aswell.
So I gave it a go with my TT game and MS paint. And the result was not really bad in my eyes, you might have to get used to it but I think it will.
I used overhead wires for rails, and I made use of canals as to show a bit or 2 of the nice features our amazing game has gained over the past serveral years. I also updated the title abit with a bit more transparant look for the modern effect.
So how about it? Is it any good? Or what else?
I included a poll for the overall opinion.
Anyway, any comments are apreciated.
Thanks

Could I convince you to do something with buildonslopes and/or custombridgeheads? It doesn't seem like those two ought to be too hard to do.

Well I could do something with build-on-slopes, but I don't think custom-bridgeheads, since that is a TTDP feature only, and the logo has to be impartial.

I think that you may be having too much action going on in the box. I recommend that you remove at least one item.

I agree, I think build-on-slopes would be great to show off as well.

Can you make like 10 or so logos and every time you refresh you get a different logo?

Hmm, perhaps we could have another logo competition... the logo shouldn't be too cluttered though, and if it were similar to the current one, it'd be good. Also, it'd be nice if it lined up with the gridlines like the current one.

You just want to keep the current one, don't you?

How about a flash logo or something like that, perhaps an animated gif?!

I'd rather not make it Flash to be honest. Animated... as long as it's not too big or distracting, then maybe. Depends if anyone comes up with anything really good.

No way, I hate animated avatars (and I know they're not appreciated at these forums), and an animated logo would just be as annoying.
As for Mr. X's logo; I don't think it's better than the current one, so I rather keep the current one. Tho I don't think the logo needs a replacement, if someone can make a better one, that'd be fine...
Just my 2 cents.

Someone once made an animation of opposite moving trains running on 1 tile. It looked very nice but I have no clue what the size was.

I find it to be a little messy. Sure, we could use a new one, but that one is a bit crowded

Actually it's the other way around - ie the forum background is lined up to the logo, and that can easily be updated to match whatever new logo is designed.

Shall hang my head in shame, I'd never noticed they matched up, oh dear!

Bad idea, I think?

What about a logo that combines TTDP, OTTD, and LoMo (using Photoshop or something like it)?

Lest we forget the name of this forum.
Also remember that NO GRFS SHOULD BE USED!
That includes Pikka's viaduct in Killer's shot.
