Just a note to any future posters.

OpenTTD and TTD Patch are two entirely different projects.

I'm not going to go into the differences gameplay wise.

However, TTD Patch is basically a patch that builds on the original games limitations using the x86 assembler that it was originally built with.

OpenTTD is built using a C conversion, as I understand it. It is, in essence, a new game because it doesn't build on the original but seeks to totally move away from it (eventually).

It's also better for multiplayer. Just my interpretation of the two different projects.
