What languages do you speak?
What languages do you want to learn?
What do you think is the best language?

For me
I know Enlgish, French, Russian
I want to learn Spanish, Tatar, Arabic. The reasons is because good chunk of the world speaks Spanish, Tatar is supposed to be my mother tongue, Arabic because good chunk of the world speaks it and because I want to read Quran in original they say it rhymes.
The best language i think is English because its expressions are much shorter than in any other language.

:lol: I like that... As for me:

English (well I'm predicted an A - but my teacher got arrested .... :?)
French (I can string a sentence together - it may not make sense however)
German (almost as fluent as English - the only one in my year going to do it at A-Level)
Norfolk (Can do a lame attempt at it)
Spanish (Can speak a bit - I can say 2 pints of beer and my friend is paying)

Other languages I can speak (very basically) are French, Spanish and a bit of Russian.

I can also say "nein, fraulein"

I speak Dutch and English, and I can understand (read and converse, not write) in Frisian, German and French.
I think Dutch is best as it is my mother tongue :).

Actually, that'd be Mandarin Chinese, having more than twice as many speakers (native or non-native) than English.

However English is the most common second language.

English, and I'm learning French (which is good, considering that over half of my family is French).

I don't got as many languages on my list as some of you but I got one thing that have not been mentioned yet, Swedish Sign Language. Sure you don't "speak" it, but it is still a language.

So my list is:
* Swedish
* English
* Swedish Sign Language (SSL)

Edit: What is the best language? I think that is any sign language as they are all very beautiful. Poems in sign language are wonderfull to watch. There are so much more expression than in spoken/wirtten poems.

I know English, Bit of German a little French.
I'd like to leran how to speak & read Japanse so i can import games and consoles :P

I think that english is best because some people speak it as a main language and a lot more people speak it as a secondary language menaing that the world can communicate pretty easily if simple english is used

Well, something along the lines of "beef labeling regulation & delegation of supervision law".

Best of all, it´s not a joke: http://mv.juris.de/mv/RkReUeAUeG_MV_rahmen.htm
(Rinderkennzeichnungs- und Rindfleischetikettierungsüberwachungsaufgabenübertragungsgesetz - RkReÜAÜG M-V)
This was a 1999 German "Word of the Year", and it also won a special award as the longest German word for that year.

And mind that abbreviation! "RkReÜAÜG M-V". ROFL

Yes, as well as in Turkish: Çekoslovakyalilastiramadiklarimizdanmisiniz?

Let´s try ... Siz Çekoslovakyalilastirabildiklerimizden misiniz, yoksa Çekoslovakyalilastiramadiklarimizdan misiniz? Hehe. 8)
