welcome all, won't you.
this is my own and personal screenshot thread, in which i'll display my immense TTD'ing powers towards an unsuspecting audience, thereby spreading terror and fear across TTD-land. hahaha! now, onwards with them screenshots!
first up are ones of my current AUSSET game, back when it was still called AUSSET and not the thing i really can't remember. enjoy, won't you.
NOTE: these screens are from a game with "advanced town handling" ON! i am the Darth Vader of advanced town handlings, tackling it big f*** time!

Good screenshots, the trees really make a difference (as does Terragenesis' new tree generator

).

So..it'll be a while before we see passenger stations because it costs millions just to bulldoze a few buildings in the way?

You might as well save your money and fund a few coal mines because it's that expensive, unless the town is small. IMHO advanced town handling harms gameplay, not the other way around.
EDIT: Do you mind if I censor your filter-bypassing swear words when I quote you?

bah censorship, but sometimes one has to.
anyway, passengers are doing quite fine already, i just started up a new internal company that handles road services:

Nice screenshots, I think the trees, grass, rails go well together
Would you mind listing your grfs you used, I'm very interested, it is the look I would like to try out later

ofcourse.

here's directly from my OTTD cfg, and note some of them which can't run under OTTD. why they're in there? just faith that they will be working in the not-too-distant future.

Dam the Ausset landscape looks good! we just need to persuade SAC to redraw the TT forests now!

I said it before, this landscape set is a blast! I wonder if it needs other trees?

Did roads have stripes like that in the 40s?
I like the old buildings in OpenTTD. It's a shame that they're all gone in 20 years. ):

1. the new tadhattan iron ore line. it's quite cute. profit's expected to be high.
2. a roro-ing of the original coal/steel terminal. works like a charm.

another update: a heavy junction that should've gotten an update quite some time ago now has a new line which stops it from jamming all the time. it may not look very pretty, but it works.
on a another note, the first goods service is about to start. about to? yes, the local authority near the factory hasn't been very satisfied with the way things have been run by Lendinghead transport. so it might take a while before we'll see the first goods train rolling into Suntfingbridge.

finally the goods are being delivered. after a hefty bribing scandal i could finally finish off the station near the factory. and what a beauty! this'll cash up pretty good, methinks.

one more: finally i had earned enough trust to continue my projects near Suntfingbridge. and well, t'is a beauty. no more ridiculously crowded planes, time for some serious passenger transporting!

and i've decided to create a lovely canal. the boats pull a good 15 thou per year, so in a couple of decades, it'll be repayed.

Ah, my plan is to start a new game using this very set, possibly later today. Some nice little shots there.

1943... it's been growing a tad bit too fast, really. there's not even the big upper part visible here.
edit: i never do any "extras" usually, but i tried one for the first time. and damn, it looks good.
