Transatlantic Ship Set

hello, i plan to make a Ship set, it will consist in 4 classes (classes = same size) of passenger ships and 7 classes of freight ships. each ship would be refittable to another type (but still same class) of ship, just like liveries for the planeset. some types of ships will have restricted type of cargo EG: a tanker of any class, will be able to transport liquid freight only. i plan to add as many western europe companies as i can (who sails in north atlantic or surrounding waters).with this system, we won't be bothered by ID shortage and we would be able to have as many different ships as we want. btw, i've drawed some ships for preview. i have already posted them in my topic but i post them here also because this topic is dedicated to those ships.

I do think such a ship set would be very cool, tho I hope to see more modern ships too.

All ships are great. But I is it posiible to be made aircraft-carrier. So when you can't build airfield, just to make ship.

It'd be possible drawing one, but it won't function as a an aircraft-carrier (unless you define aircraft as cargo type so it can transport aircraft from one place to another. However, planes will never be able to land on such a ship). At least, not without a new patch feature.

hello, i'm back with 3 of the biggest ships you'll be able to buy. next to those ship ships, the titanic looks like a midget. here's the profiles of the different classes of ships on the first 40 years of the game (so from 1920 to 1960).

no, H.M.S are for military ships, R.M.S (meaning Royal Mail Steamer) is for civillian ships.

More Specifically, "Royal Mail Ship" was attached to ships which were contracted to take mail for Royal Mail.

My idea was carrier to function like airport. But thanks for the fast answer

Nice idea, When I download this I think that I will steer clear of the Titanic myself, I know ships don't sink in TT but they said that the Titanic couldn't sink.... :)

The graphics are brilliant too, this might inspire me to use ships. However what ships are you going to use to carry freight?

Indeed, and also, you need some modern cruise ships, like the QM2 or somethng. Lookin' good otherwise!

don't worry about the modern ships there will be some. but yet i'm begining so i begin by the early years. i've now covered one third of the game time with my ships. so now i do the remaining views of the ships profiles o've made then i'll draw some more modern ships.

Don't forget, there aren't half as many ship slots as there are train or road vehicle. :(

(I can't remember the exact number of ships you can have - check the wiki ;))

Ah, I thought that different liveries were technically classed as different ships and therefore have different IDs, but I don't know, I've never touched on coding ships or liveries before. ;)
