General Worldwide Railway/Bus Chat

Posted: 26 Oct 2006 17:22
by Griff
To save new threads being created for everything railway related, and to accompany the successful British Station and Guess the train games, we can use this thread to chat about the railway from all over the globe.
Post pictures of any trains you like, post new of any 'derailments' or accidents, though hopefully there wont be any serious ones.
----

A little something from Britain then, how about seeing London to Brighton Drivers Eye View in..oh, i don't know..3.5 minutes?

Excellent music of the first post, trust cats to have a little fun with a little trains.
Fantastic Maeklin layout, very nice.

Well, thats a reasonable speed, faster than UK trains can travel at any rate. It'd be interesting to see the trains with the shorter noses.

It happens everywhere where there are level crossings and no gates, people are just impatient and dont want to wait for a train, over hear they are thinking off (or did) introducing a speed limit of 35 kmh, because of people trying to beat a 4 car train (Xplorer) doing 130 kmh across a crossing, i mean how long would you have to wait really?

A minute, maybe a bit longer depending on how many trains are passing. I would have thought people could be patient, although sometimes cars get caught as the barriers close, but..that shouldnt happen as there is CCTV and a car shouldnt stop on the tracks anyway.
Theres no way he jumped over that
