Locomotion to TT

I dont say i gonna do things for TT but i tried this;

I used a ICE-T as example, and i got the folowing sprites; (Yes i am missing some but its to get the idea.

Just a little example ;)

1. That's not in TTD palette
2. The border pixels are blueish, make the edges sharp.

That's because they are gif files. They are going to be lossless, blurry and not in Palette due to that.

PNG files are what we must use with TTD Sprites.

Gif is loseless format with a 256 color palette, so if you use it right it's perfect valid like a 256 color png file or a pcx file which no browser shows or even a
bin file. It's like saying a true color png file is ok, because it's a png which isn't true.

Gif is not blury and as sharp as png.


As long as you use 256 non loseless format with the palette color places are at the right place all is fine and covertable. However a team may prefer a certain format, like png.

The blurryness of that picture is probably due the rendering, AFAICT.

Indeed, .gif is sharp, take a look at the forum's emoticons, which are .gif :wink:

Its because of the resize, offcourse this can be overcome ;)

If i can make it work i would make the Highspeed Reloaded pack for Locomotion also for TT.
