ttd patch online via kali

I've gotten to ttd win to work through kali with 2 xp machines. It works pretty good for most part. There is a weird problem though. The IPX -> TCP support does NOT work with the latest (alpha/beta) patch or 1.9. Though it DOES work with 1.8 patch.
Kali runs a certain dll to emulate the ipx environment with tcp and for some reason it's uncompatible with the newer ttd patches. I'm just wondering if there's a specific reason or if it's worth looking into. It would be nice if someone can look into it as the newer patch creates more stability on ttd netcode. Thanks!

I tried tricking kali to work with the newer patches, still no go.. for whoever that's interested of doing it this way, direct play w/o playing through a server would be a ton faster.
