Changing land height tool

Was quite a long while ago when I played Transport Tycoon last, but I recently decided to dig it up & play it again & found this nice OpenTTD version.

As I recall, TT used to only have the single point raising or lowering of land. OpenTTD has the awesome mass leveling of land, great for large spaces like airports, or long horizontal & vertical stretches for Railways.

What about diagonals? Something capable of lengthy diagonal stretchs through hills would be great for railways. If there is already a patch for this, or I'm overlooking a feature, please point me in the right direction :)

A nice way to realize that could be to press down CTRL while beeing the the mass flattening tool. That´s how such tools switch modes in many other programs aswell. That would make it very intentionally to use.

You press CTRL and the tool just allows NE, NW, SW, SE directions to be flattened.
