Great Help

Thanks, LocArny for actually making a worthwhile post to my question.

But looks like I wont ever be able to make anything since that Wally program doesn't work. Wont let me batch the pictures "Says there is no content" or somesuch.

:(

Make sure you specify which type of files you are trying to convert in the image wildcard box, ie *.bmp

Pm me your msn if you have one and i'll send you something

How does one actually create the vehicle in a manner that when you drag & drop onto LocoTool, it doesn't make a 12mb .DAT file. Also what settings need to be used to avoid crashin Lomo?

Lomo sprites are 256-colour png's encoded within the dat. To clarify what IA said (no offence intended IA ;) ), the palette is fixed to a particular set of colours which are indexed. The actual palette can be found on these forums.

Also, the sprites are not resized in the game, so you need to manually resize them before creating the dat. I don't know how this works for conversions from MSTS, but when I make stuff, I keep the sprite to approx. 110x110 pixels (other people have used other sizes without problem, although I can't remember what the maximum size is).
