With reference to the build-template patch http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?t=25037 I started up to build a savegame with basic junctions, station configurations, etc.
So if anyone wants to add a template junction, feel free to add it to the savegame. Corrections are also welcome.
  • NEWS:
  • added a few junctions
Build with SVN Revision: 6961

I think that it would be better if you replace the maglev with either railroad or monorail tracks.
I've added a 3 to 2 way joiner that is commenly used on the #openttdcoop Sandbox, note that you can extend the priority lanes (the backward facing presignals).

I get an error trying to open the savegame. I also noticed that my other savegames look like TR[T,P]**.sv*.

What am I doing wrong?

You need to open it with a specific version of OTTD. Since this is related to the copy patch, i would suggest a version containing this patch. I assume the link at the top of the page goes to the thread with this patch, which contains the latest Win32.exe to download. Extract this OVER a current install of OTTD, place the grf into the data directory, and you should be able to open it

No the patch is not the problem. At the time when this savegame was saved, the bridge branch was tested in the nightlies. But now it is taken out cause of problems. and so the savegame is useless at the moment. Sorry. :)

But open the game with the old binarys/nightlies is a possible workaround.

A way to revive the savegame could be:
Copy every junction - with an old version which is able to load the savegame - and save it to disk. (Just number them through, for easy recreation)

Then paste it into a new game.

Just an idea ;)

EDIT: I'll do it later. (I'll just modify the max copy area, so I'm able to copy it in one shot.)

Here's the converted savegame. I had to modify some junctions, as they used some features from the bridge-branch.

The signs still have to be written again, and maybe take a closer look if some errors have made it in.

created with rev. 5285

That's not a PNG either.

Changing the extension is not sufficient, whatever Windows may tell you.

.BMPs are not appreciated around here, especially since some people are still stuck on dial-up.

I added your junction design, but optimised it a bit for one way, and unsharpend some edges.

This savegame is about templates and basics.
There are some negativ examples. obviously ;)
But the people should learn, what are the pro's and con's of each junction. :!:
So they need a base to undersand and to differ.
Couse of that I added also "The Isle of Statements", where this is remarked.
You can take some inspiration for your next junction/hubs.

I also included a list of users who added junctions.
