We are in a wrap-up for the upcoming release and to my shock I have noticed quite some languages are missing translated strings. This of course is unthinkable so I call upon all (affected) users to go translate those strings!

Apply for an account at http://translator2.openttd.org and go fix those strings! :). The affected languages are:
  • brazilian-portugese: 19 missing strings
  • catalan: 22 missing strings
  • danish: 3 missing strings
  • estonian: 25 missing strings
  • finnish: 1 missing string
  • galician: 68 missing strings
  • icelandic: 21 missing strings
  • norwegian: 6 missing strings
  • romanian: 21 missing strings
  • slovak: 14 missing strings
  • spanish: 1 missing string
  • turkish: 1 missing string
This is of course only strings concerning the 0.4.8 branch if you do get on translating, there will be a bit more. Next to these we have some unfinished languages like frisian, latvian, lithuanian, and slovenian. You can translate those as well but beware that a LOT of strings will be broken there.

What does the "bad strings" count means? (on the global statistics there).

I would apply to translate to pt-BR, but there are 3 translators already, and there are only some "bad strings" and no more missing strings now.

"bad string" is string which is untranslated
0 bad strings = "ready"

"string pending" means someone has made a change to either "bad string" or "good string" which just needed some fix
0 strings pending = "up to date"

For example let's take Polish language:
3 bad strings, 6 strings pending

There were three new strings which were not yet translated.
I translated them, plus three other strings, which previously existed in the translation. This gives six pending strings

The counter will be updated with next language commit to ready, up to date
