Problem with "light coming from the East" is that both parts of a roof in y-direction would be equally lit. See Where is the sun in the TTD world?

But since buildings in my sets are usually a mix from old and new, there´s no uniform handling of light, see large warehouses vs small double shed on the right. Those deviations will be fixed bit by bit.

Same in TTD sprites as well. There are multiple lighting 'errors' which are likely down to 'life is too short' or 'deadlines are too close'.

Playing around with the set a bit, I think it's missing a simple empty tile with the same concrete texture as below the warehouses etc. Sort of to stretch out things. Just as a small suggestion ;)

Bump...

Michael, I've noticed a small graphical issue in Marico. See pic...

Took a break to work a bit on the next version of NewStations, with emphasis on freight traffic. Among a lot of other things, freight yards will get "pseudo tracks" and animated loading facilities for a number of cargo types, see picture.

Amazing.

I suppose the fake tracks only really work when using the track set? Visually, I mean. Or is that like the ISR versions, where the station essentially "overwrites" whatever trackset you're using for the fake-tracks part?

Would be easier just to make em a dirty track. Would be a mess to try to think of all the possible track set combinations.

Yes. It would need the DBRails Set. That´s the downside of getting the "tracktype" feature in the first place.

The benefit is that I made them to work with the majority of NewStations´s station tiles, see pic. And there won´t be any tedious fiddling in using them.

I see half-platforms! Are they usable without the pseudo-track too?

It's coming SoonTM when DB Set 0.90 comes out along with Half-Life 3 and Road Types in trunk.

:P

I wager that the DBRail set Michael speaks of will come when it does.

The DBRails set will be a standalone set, but will be packaged with DBXL.
SwissFan91 wrote: I see half-platforms! Are they usable without the pseudo-track too?
Half-platforms will be available, but only with pseudo track, to fill those ugly "gaps".

Those tracks look amazing! Are they finescale tracks or 'normal' tracks?

Oh, and will they have a setting that makes them also act like narrow gauge like Pikka's Finescale tracks?

Yes, they are smaller than original TTD tracks.

Sorry, how do Pikka´s tracks "act like narrow gauge"?
