[Discussion] I got a question, or theory about the msts2loco

well, i've been thinking just now that, with the msts2loco converts the graphics from the msts file to the loco file, of graphics. now, i've played msts, and i've noticed the road vehicles.

you'd probably know where i'm getting to now, but will it be possible to convert the graphics from the msts, and code it to be a road vehicle?

what i mean is, for example, you've got a bus for msts, load up your tool, open the file 'n' there you have it, in loco form, save the graphics. then use a bus xml from loco, n use the codings from that.

this is just a question, probably someone could look up at it?

Its possible, only your road vehicles will look odd on steep hils. (Just edit the XML file)

I have done it. the problem is msts2lomo dose not make the correct sprites for anything other then trains and even those are dodgy. but, it can be done with a few cups of coffee and trained money. I have a few light trucks, a taxi cab and a ship running around.

Been there, tried it aswell. And as plastikman says the sprites it produces are for the angles that the trains need.

Even for it just to work with the straight level road A LOT of xml editing needs to be done as the y-offset value is different, as it will not appear on the road.
