[REL] Scenario: Imports and Exports
Posted: 16 Apr 2006 13:35
Imports and Exports
Start Date: 1965
Objective: Achieve monthly profit of $1,000,000.
Difficulty: Expert
Competitors: None
Mods needed: None
Background: Set around a fictional area called Port Silva, this scenario will test your organisational and track layout skills to the max. Using ships to bring in resources from two "foreign" islands you have to create an efficient docks system to distribute the goods through two narrow mountain passes.
Notes: You are only allowed to cross the water to the "Foreign" or "Overseas" islands by boat. Building a railway track straight to the industries defeats the point of the challenge.
This scenario needs no mods, but the US Set is highly recommended. If you use the US Set, you might not be able to transport much until the different wagons become available in the mid 60s unless you use the default wagons as well.
This scenario borrows some ideas from Teccuk's Arual Sea scenario and my previous Offshore Oil scenario.
The Zip file contains the final version. The start date has been modified, and the objective is different. The landscape has been completed, and a few industries have been moved. In the beta release, industries could shut down, so this has been addressed.
This is a mother of a scenario - Have fun.
