Enhanced (new) station var 40.. to get info on sloped tiles

Is it possible ...
there are 4 unused bits in station variables 40, 41 etc, that could be used to indicate sloped tiles below a station tile. The corresponding bit could be set to 'on' for all corners of the tile that are lower than the station tile itself. This would enable us to construct 'safer' stations, i.e. properly fenced and equipped with stairs.
In the pic the upper platforms should be fenced at the front and have stairs to gain access to the lower platform, unfortunately with current information available this cannot be determined. It would be very nice if we could check whether any corner of a station tile is lower (has foundations). In this sample bits 4 + 6 would be on for the upper platform tiles, thus making it possible to build fences and stairs.
It could be implemeted along similar lines as var 45.
