Hey Gamerz,

I've searched the window's upgrade/service page and all i find about "win32" is that this file is often used by hackers to reproduce all kind's of worm's and virusses..... :? :( ... is this what happened to me? (virus scanner can't find anything) and if so, how could it be?, via the multiplayer funktion in a game or somthing?....

TTDpatch has the same problem, all other programs function fine.... i'm lost HELP!!!

Thank's in advance for any help..

Ever heard the saying "Know enough to be dangerous"?

"win32" is the generic name for all Windows operating systems since Win95, possibly excluding the 64-bit versions of XP and Vista.

Since most viruses attack those OSen, and since AV makers like to indicate which OS or OSen a virus attacks, viruses tend to get names like win32.worm.<foo>, or win32.trojan.<bar>.

so the win32Waveout is probably: 1* virus/worm
2*windows application
3*ttd app.

?

and why is the ttdpatch or OTTD searching for it?....

would resetting windows to previous settings be an option or cure?...

thx

Sounds to me that there's something wrong with your sound drivers/soundcard. Win32 is just a shortcut for al Windows versions that run on a 32 bit CPU or 32 bit applications.

"Win32", as in "The Windows OS".
"Wave", as in ".wav file".
"out", as in "not in".
"driver", as in "bit of software that makes a bit of hardware work".

Put them together. What do you get?

Either something else is using that, or something was using it, but failed to release it. Without knowing what programs you are or were running since you last rebooted, I can't help.
