Sign cheat cht: year bug!

Okay, when i use the sign cheat, for the years to pass by, i usually get all locos, trucks etc invented before that date, which is reasonable. So if i skip to 2050, i get everything. But now if i skip to 2049, i get... No new stuff! The maglevs and monorail should have been invented, but they have not! Argh!

Also i notice when going baaaaack before 1950, it takes away all of the bridges (is this cause only wood briges were around before 1950? I think not!)

It's not a major bug, it really only affects ppl like me who get a new veichle and want to look at it without having to play for ages (i'm very impatient ;)), so i skip to 2049 so i can look but not waste time going through the high scores (told you i was impatient) ;);)

I'm using the new alpha (windows), and attached is my ttdpatch config file in .txt form :).

Thanks again :D

Yeah, i use that too, but its strange that it happens for years OTHER than 2050 - Do you agree that this is strange? Also, that doesn't fix the "pre 1950" bit about the bridges ;)

But thanks, its good to see someone trying to help

So , your problem is that you only have slow bridges in 1920 ?

There is a way out, use TTDAlter (Owen) and change the speeds off the bridges
But off-course this is cheating :(

The bridges do come back in 1930, so you only have to play around, without building proper bridges for about ten years. That gives you time to improve your game otherwise

Or you could change the year to 1930, but that would be cheating as well, say Mr.Green

Some people might not know this, but if you go back in time, everything in the game DEVOLVES. You can see what I mean if you have a game that has modern buildings (year 2000 or so), then you use the Year Cheat to go back to 1950. Over time, all the buildings will be replaced with ones that are available for the year that you are in. Same goes for vehicle availability. :)

Now thats a good thing - we don't want futuristic sky scrapers in 1930 or so...
