AI Vehicle restrictions

I know that you can stop AI players from using a certain type of transport like Ships or Trains, but is there a way to make them have different restrictions?

i.e....

Company A = Ships only
Company B = Trucks & Busses only
Company C = Aircraft only

Thanks, kind of what I expected. Guess I'll just have to stick to the one competitor.

Also, how does this work in a multiplayer environment. Do both players get the human player options? (Not tried this yet)

Probably. You can always just make a gentleman's agreement with the other player that they won't use airplanes and you won't use trains, or something.

With Locomod you can give your self or the AI vehicles that aren't invented yet.
eg: You or one of the AI can use the Concorde in year 1900 then.
This doesn't work the other way round.
This means you can't forbid them separately to use a vehicle when it is invented.
