i have a problem with installing patches.
i try to install this patch:
ttdpatch-201a10vcs
i get a prompt window which gives some errors:

ttdload.ovl not foud
tycoon.exe no such file or directory
ttdx.exe no such file or directory

press a key to go away

(this is my own translation because i have a dutch windows)

can someone guide me through the patch process?

Check for a file named "GameGFX.exe". If that exists, then you need to use the Windows version of TTDPatch instead.

Otherwise, you have to install TTD first.

Wow, what an ancient version.

You'll want to download the latest version from here first: http://www.ttdpatch.net/src/ (it also includes the "enhancedmultiplayer" feature, if that's what you're looking for, except in the latest alphas it's actually working, unlike the version you have.)

i would install this old version because i read that when you couldn't install new grf files you maybe needed a patch.
the newest patch don't give this problems

it only gives 1 eror
couldn't find code loader. ttdloadw.ovl is deleted

can someone help me?

That part is fine. It should then recreate ttdloadw.ovl. What are the messages after this?

ok. ttdload.ovl is still in the transport tycoon deluxe map.

can you help me now with installing graphics?

i putted a new grf map in my transport tycoon deluxe directory
i don't know if i have to do it in my transport tycoon deluxe directory or in the openTTD directory.
So i did it in both.
I made in both directory's the newgrfw file.

then i go to the new grf settings. (in transport tycoon)
but there stands: there are currently no new graphics installed.

can you help me.

Create a new folder, call it "newgrf".
Create a new file and call it "newgrfw.cfg".
Put your grf files in the new folder you created,
Then open the newgrfw.cfg with Notepad and write down your new grf names like this:
newgrf/NEWSHIPSW.GRF
Also, enable the new trains, road vehicles, Airplanes at ttdpatch.cfg

So download from here:

Click on "All new graphics" button.
after you unzip it to your ttd folder, put the grf in newgrf folder,
And add those files to your newgrfw.cfg.

Also, Enable them in the "new graphics status" in your game.

First, I hope thats "newgrf" not "new grf", as the folder name. Then, have you told the patch to show the new graphics?

Then, you want to make sure you have the following lines in ttdpatch.cfg. Or set them in TTD Configurator, if thats what you use. You'll probably also want to have the other types turned on too.

[EDIT]Seems that you are useing OpenTTD too, just be aware that this is the TTDPatch forums, so its TTDPatch we are talking about

With the GRF Status window.

maybe it helps when i tell you this thing:

when i configure my patches (at configure patches in the game)
the game does only save it for the time i play the game.
the next time i have to configure it all again

Are you still using that ancient patch version, or are you now using TTDpatch alpha 58 ?
Because with that old version you had to have "saveoptionaldata on" in your ttdpatch.cfg file IIRC.
With the later patches this isn't neccessary, and the patch will remember your settings.

What? Can you please post a screenshot of this window? I've seen it in OTTD, but never in TTDPatch.

I'm really afraid you've got OTTD there, not TTD with Patch

yes i use openttd. i can't run transport tycoon deluxe without it.
but i thought its only a little program which ad some scenario's and make transport tycoon deluxe run?

when i use openttd do i have to install grf's in a other way??
