Hi everybody,

The roads can be the property of a player or can be the property of a city. In both case, everybody can take these roads but only one (the owner) can modify it.

It would be cool if this system was available for the railways and stations.
For example, a player build railways from A to B and an other player want to go from A to C through B (or near) so he decided to build railways only from B to C.

The other player could pay the owner of the AB railways every month by a new window or the window of the player description (new textbox and checkbox).

I know it is a big work to do this but it can allow player with few money to build a network, and other player to take a tunnel passing through a big mountain or take a very long bridge or cross a city whitout waiting earning money 100 years :D

Openttd will seem more like to reality with this !!

Bye 8)

The Subsidiaries patch (try the integrated nightly) already has, as an option, "everyone shares rails" replete with a per-tile fee. My big worry with such a system would be jerks (in multiplayer) crashing Kirby Paul's into others' big, expensive, money-making trains.
