New cargo help please

ok, im having a few problems (or confusions) with the New Cargo set. If you want me to be specific... All of it! A-Z!
One problem is, i cant find the 'New Cargos' switch. which sort of, messes most of it up.
Because i installed ttdp on this computer a long, long time ago (a44 i think it was) and i havnt really been paying much attenion to the updates, im pretty far behind everybody.
Could some PERSON (Meaning, not a manual) explain simply the things that must be done.
Explain to me like im a newbie (and dont say i am one, even for joke :wink: )

Also, i do apologies if i annoy the hell out of someone by asking, probably a really obvious question!

ok, Cargo sets arnt operating.
it says it needs newcargo=on or something, but i cant find that anywhere
iv'e tried a few basic things, like testing temperate, and alpine, checking the new industries, and even typing in 'newcargo=on' in the ttpatch.cfg

Thats just about everything i think. bit more to it, but im afraid i cant remember ATMIT. sorry :(

You do know how to get TTDPatch to write a new config file, right?
(ttdpatch[w] -!T- -W ttdpatch.cfg)

yes, it was named 'newcargos=on'
And, i dont get what you mean by writing a new config file.

I shall be back tommorow evening as im getting a little tired now and i got a big day tommorow :)

Iv'e downloaded, extracted the grf's, activated the grf's, put in 'newcargos=on' in the ttdpatch thing (as its not in the ttdx config') so what now?

Just delete your ttdpatch.cfg file and start ttdpatch.
The patch then will create a new ttdpatch.cfg file, with all the settings set to its default setting.

I am also having trouble with the newcargos switch.
I have activated the switch, added the grf and it still gives me an error:

Error: newgrf/NEWCARGOS.GRF is designed to be used with newcargos
and I get the same message with paperw when starting a game.

This is a part of my ttdpatchw.cfg, and as you can see, newcargos is on.
I use TTDxC latest (2.6.5).

newcargodistribution=off
newcargos=on
newhouses=on
newindustries=off
I have not had any problems with the new patches or grfs before.
I've tried searching through the wiki, but I have not yet found a solution. Can anybody (not a manual refrence, please) please help me?

It should be if the next error message would be:

I cannot believe I did such an idiotic mistake! All this time I thought it was supposed to be ttdpatch[w].cfg, and it's not...! damn.
I didn't think the patch worked on my comp, cause none of the new features worked, but when your adding the new features to the wrong file, what do you expect...

Yes, confusingly, that's about the only file that has the same name for both DOS and Windows.

well I am having a problem with these new industries.

I build the buoy (holding CNTR) near a fishing ground... and i send a ship refitted for carrying fish... and it does not load.
Furthermore... I cannot build a brewery anywere....

It takes a while before the fishing grounds start producing fish, because there is no buildstage of the fishing grounds.
When a new industry is placed it takes about two months before it starts producing.

The brewery has to be placed nearly in the center of a town, with at least 448 inhabitants.
