With version 56 and newcargos on, stations no longer accept paper and the fund new industries is very limited and doesn't show paper industries.

Change the station spread to larger

You need to get the paper.grf from the ttdpatch site.
And activate it by the new graphics status window.
The station then still will not accept paper, but steel.
If you build another station, truckbay ore helipad for instance, next to your trainstation things will get back to normal.
It did at least for me.

Whoops - now stations that used to accept grain & livestock no longer accept them, but now accept food & beer. What should I do?

Build a Food Processing Plant that will accept Livestock, grain and fish to produce food.

But I no longer have an option for paper rail cars and how do I get vehicles to carry beer?

The DBset has waggons that can be refitted to carry all the new cargoes.
I guess you already have that, otherwise get it here.

Got all the new industries to work including paper and fishing and downloaded the DB set. But only maglev train now available is the Transrapid09 and no option to change to food, paper, beer. Tried cht:resetvehicles & cht:allvehicles, but still no food, paper, or beer train cars. Please advise.

It is designed that way by the maker of the set.
In real life no transrapid transports lifestock or coal, so in this set that doesn't get transported either.
You'll have to transport these commodities by electric or diesel engines.

Understood, but I used to have maglev paper rail cars. Now I no longer have that capability although I still have several paper trains running from when I did. How do I get the capability to build paper trains back?

I'm not sure, but the paper industry came to the temperate climate with the moreindustriesperclimate switch, and that isn't compatible with newcargo switch.
I think if you disable newcargo switch, and reenable the moreindustriesperclimate switch you might be able to build the paper cars again, but I'm not sure.
Maybe someone else has a bright idea
