I have been thinking. It is possible in multiplayer to buy stocks from another player. Though not always realistic, when the company value is 3. Probably because of the high loan and the value of the company would me less then zero.

But if you can buy shares, why is not possible to do a merger.

It would be nice to do it like this:

Company A buys 75% of the other company. A merger button will be visible. If the player presses the button, Company B will see a popup want to merger? If pressed NO, nothing will happen. But if pressed Yes the companies will become one huge company.

What will happen after the merger?
- The name will be changed in the combination of both old companies.
- The new company will be played by 2 players.


Thats for the mergers part.
I have also been thinking, in Railroad Tycoon it is possible to use the tracks of a competitor. You have to pay lots of money to use it. Would it be nice to have it in here?
To ensure that the owner of the track wants to have it, he/she has to make a specifiek entry for the other player. Without the entry the other player will nog be able to use the track. A nice feature would be using the stations of the other player.

It will (hopefully) get into the main game sometime, or at least parts of it.

Friendly merging is no bad idea.

As it works today buying share is always good, because you get more interest for your money than just keeping it in your own bank account.

But what if someone hostile buy someone. Bying your opponent could mean that he would have to start over again. Even more this could be balanced at 51%. If someone bought more shares than yourself in your own company, you would have to loose control of the company to him. Companies should still be separate, but you should loose control.

With no company you would have to buy and sell shares or take over another company or just have to start over again with a new company.
